Meta's fix is working and posts are again publishing successfully to the Meta suite of products (Facebook, Instagram and Threads)
Update - 16:40 GMT
Meta has mentioned that they've identified a fix and are rolling it out. We're seeing failure rates decrease steadily and are continuing to monitor the situation
Update - 15:44 GMT
We're seeing video posting failure rates slowly decrease on both Instagram and Facebook.
We continue to see carousel posts failing on both networks.
What is the issue?
Meta is currently experiencing a widespread global service disruption that is affecting Facebook, Instagram and Threads.
Due to this outage, publishing attempts to Facebook, Threads and Instagram may fail until Meta resolves the issue. Additionally, reporting for Meta profiles will not be available during this time.
Instagram posts may fail with the following error message:
Due to a temporary connection issue at Instagram, we were unable to automatically publish your post. Please try again later
Facebook posts may fail with these error messages:
Looks like there is temporary Facebook server error. Please resend this post again later.
Threads posts may fail with this error:
Threads couldn’t create your post due to an unknown error. Try again. If the issue persists, contact support.

Workaround
There is no workaround. Posts can either be created natively on Facebook and Instagram, or re-posted when they have resolved the issue.
Next steps
Our team is actively monitoring the situation and investigating any updates provided by Meta https://metastatus.com/. As soon as we have more information or confirmation that services have been restored, we will update this article accordingly.
We appreciate your patience and understanding while Meta works to resolve the disruption.
