Tagging Instagram accounts in images
Quick facts
- You can only tag public Instagram accounts
- Searching for Instagram accounts is not available in this case
- Instagram's restrictions prevent Instagram accounts from being tagged in videos
- Tagging accounts is not supported for Stories
- 10 user tags are the max allowed per image
- If you edit an image after adding tags to it, you'll need to re-add the tags once your edits are complete
Step-by-step guide:
- You must choose an Instagram profile and upload an image before you can add a tag.
- Click the details icon, then choose Tag from the list.

Click on the image where you'd like the tag to be anchored, and type the name of the public Instagram account. You do not need to include the @ symbol.
Caution: Do not add an @ symbol before the name and use all lowercase letters. - Click Save and continue to schedule your post
Important: Tagging is not supported for Instagram Story posts.
