Add a WordPress profile
- Go to Profiles > Add Profiles
- Click Blogs on the right-hand menu
- Click Add for the WordPress Rest API
Important: If your site is hosted directly on WordPress.com, the Free and Personal plans do not support the API.
You must upgrade to the Business plan or higher to enable API access.

Profile Settings
- Enter a unique description to help you easily differentiate between your WordPress sites.
- Add the Blog URL http:// or https:// is necessary e.g. http://blog.mycompany.com
- Add the WordPress username.
- Enter your WordPress Application Password (not your main account password). You can generate this directly in your WordPress user profile. Please view WordPress Guide on how to generate an Application Password
- Automatically share on social networks: Select a profile list to immediately share your blog post on social media after it has been published.
- Post as: Choose whether your blog posts should be published to the live site or saved as drafts.
- Add Default Categories or a Default Author
- Click Save Settings to finish adding the WordPress blog to Sendible.
How to Generate a WordPress Application Password
- Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
- Navigate to Users > Profile in the left menu.
- Scroll to the Application Passwords section.
- Enter a New Application Password Name (e.g Sendible)
- Click Add New Application Password.
Note: Be sure to copy and save the application password where it can be accessed for future reference immediately. The generated password will only display once.
