Include a call to action in a Google Business post
This article covers adding a Call to Action in your Google Business post. When creating a post for a Google Business profile, you'll find that you have the option to add a Call To Action (CTA) button in your post, which allows you the following options:
- Part of the post body
- Learn More
- Book
- Order Online
- Buy
- Call now
You can create a post for your Google Business profile by following the steps outlined below:
- Select your Google Business profile
- Include a URL in the body of the post in the Compose Box
-
Select the CTA button you want your post to display
Caution: If you select the Part of the post body option, a CTA button will NOT be added to your post, and the person viewing the post will need to click on the link in your post to be redirected to that page.Tip: If you select the Call Now button option, you will need to set up your business's number in the profile section within Google Business for the button to function as expected.
If you do not add a specific number when creating the post, the Call Now button will default to the number currently set on the Google Profile you are posting to. If you select any of the other buttons, when your post is published on Google, it will display that option as a button in the post.
For instance, if you create a post that contains a URL and then select the 'Learn More' button in the Compose Box, then when your post goes out, the 'Learn More' button will be displayed like this:
