Include an @ tag in a post
This article covers adding @ tags to your Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn posts. These are currently the only sites where @ tagging is possible via Sendible.
- If you cannot find the tag you're looking for in the drop-down list of tags, try adding spaces between words, as this may generate more results depending on how the social media site reads each account's tag.
- Tagging is currently not available from within the Content Library or when scheduling to a Profile List.
- To add a tag, you'll have to enter the "@" symbol and select the profile/page you would like to tag (or the symbols @, #, &), and you won't be able to copy and paste a tag into your Compose Box.
Twitter
To tag a Twitter handle in your post, select a Twitter profile, enter the "@" symbol in the text box, and start typing the handle you'd like to tag.
You will need to type the handle exactly how it appears on Twitter to have a successful tag.
Facebook
To tag a Facebook Page in your post, select a Facebook profile, enter the "@" symbol in the text box, and start typing the handle you'd like to tag.
Once you've entered the Facebook Page's handle, a list will appear beneath it, displaying several handles. Clicking on the one you'd like to tag will add it to your post.
Instagram
To tag an Instagram account in your post, select an Instagram profile, enter the "@" symbol in the text box, and start typing the handle you'd like to tag.
When you've entered the Instagram handle, the one you have entered will appear, click on it and it will be added to your posts.
LinkedIn
To tag a LinkedIn Company Page in your post, select a LinkedIn profile, enter the "@" symbol in the text box, and start typing the handle you'd like to tag.
Once you've entered that LinkedIn Company Page's handle, a list will appear beneath it, displaying several handles. Clicking on the one you'd like to tag will add it to your post.
Multiple profiles
When you have selected multiple profiles, you'll find that you won't be able to add tags for all the profiles in the Original Compose Box tab; only one social profile will be able to be tagged.
When applying tags here, depending on the social profiles you've selected, it will default to pull a tag from Facebook, then Instagram (including hashtags), and LinkedIn, in that order of priority. So if you have added a Facebook and a LinkedIn social profile, you'll be able to tag a Facebook Page from the Original tab, and then you'll have to add the LinkedIn tag on the LinkedIn tab.
If you would like to create a post that includes multiple profiles and you would like to add a tag for each one, you'll have to add the tag individually per social site, as shown below.
