Change personal settings
This article covers personal preferences for a user, including updating the email address or password, changing the time zone, and setting a particular language for your dashboard.
- Select the account name at the top right corner of the dashboard, and then click Preferences.

You will then see the personal settings page, which is divided into multiple sections:
Settings
- Full name: The name of your user.
- Colour: Set the colour shown for your user's actions in the Calendar
- Email: The email address linked to your user
- Password: Reset your password by clicking the link.
- Change your user image by clicking the avatar. You can then upload an image from your computer.
Location

Time zone: Change your user's time zone, if needed, using the drop-down menu.
Note: Your scheduled messages will not be automatically updated to correspond with the new time zone. To do this, please click the time in the top left corner of the dashboard. - Language: Set the language from one of the available options in the drop-down menu.
- Hour format: Set the format used on your account (12-hour or 24-hour).
- Start the week: Your company will have a default for the day the week starts, but you can choose to follow that or set your own preference for Sunday or Monday.
Notifications
Add an email address to receive an email notification whenever a post is sent from this user.
This setting only applies to notifications of when a post has been published. If you want to adjust notifications based on a profile, eg., emails for Priority Inbox alerts, this will need to be adjusted by editing the related profile.
Publishing
- URL shortening: Select whether URLs you add to the Compose Box will be automatically shortened with Bit.ly. If you already have a Bitly account, you can integrate this with Sendible by adding a Bitly access token and, if applicable, your Bitly domain. Please see Connect your Bitly account for more information.
- Rich text editor: Select whether the Rich Text editor is always on, always off, or automatically adapts to the profiles selected. We recommend that it be set to automatic, as most social media sites do not support formatted text.
- Pause scheduled messages: Pause all of your scheduled messages if necessary. Messages scheduled during the paused time will still show as ‘Sent’, but they will not actually be published. This prevents all the paused posts from being published at once when the pause is lifted.
- Default filter: Select which filter is used by default when viewing your Publish view, including the calendar, drafts and queues. This is set to your user account by default, but can be set to ‘All Users’ instead. What is displayed when ‘All Users’ is selected will depend on which accounts you have permission to view.
System
The 'Reset Cache' button can help if you’re experiencing issues with your account, such as profiles not displaying in the Compose Box, you’re unable to switch users, or parts of the dashboard are not displaying correctly. It is a very safe action to take.
Security
Valid IP Addresses: For increased security, you can restrict access to your account to specific IP addresses. Use with caution, as you will not be able to access Sendible if you travel or otherwise change your computer's IP address.
Once you have adjusted your settings as desired, click Save to apply your changes.
