Transfer and share profiles
If more than one team member manages a social profile within your team, the best practice is to use a single account that connects the profiles and then share it with other workspaces. Learn how to share profiles, check the profiles shared with you, and transfer profiles you no longer manage.
Share a profile
Need another member of your workspace to help manage a social profile? You can share the profile with them
Sharing a profile is useful when multiple team members need to publish content, respond to messages, or view reports for the same social account.
Click Share, and you'll see two lists:
- 'Select workspaces to share this profile with' on the left displays the workspaces that don't currently have access to the profile. Select a workspace and use the arrow to move it to the shared list.
- 'Currently shared with' on the right shows all workspaces that already have access to the profile. To stop sharing the profile with a workspace, select it from this list and use the arrow to move it back.
Share multiple profiles
If you need to share several profiles at once, you can do so from the 'Profile sharing' option in the 'Workspaces' view. This allows you to manage multiple profile assignments, making it faster than sharing each profile individually.
First, select the 'Owner' workspace, the workspace that currently owns the profiles you want to share. Then choose the 'Share with' workspace, the one which should receive access to those profiles.
The left-hand panel displays all profiles owned by the selected 'Owner' workspace. Check the boxes next to the profiles you'd like to share and click the > icon to move them to the 'Shared profiles' list. Once saved, those profiles will be available in the selected workspace.
You can also remove shared profiles at any time by checking the < icon to move them back to the left-hand panel.
View shared profiles
The shared profiles view shows all profiles shared with your current workspace from other workspaces.
Each shared profile displays the workspace that owns it, so you can quickly identify its source. In the example above, the profiles are shared by PF, indicating they belong to the Premium Foods workspace.
Transfer a profile
If ownership of a profile needs to change, you can transfer it to another workspace. This is useful when moving a client to a different workspace or reorganising your accounts.
