Overview of the calendar
The calendar is the first thing you see when you sign into Sendible and serves as the hub of activity on your account. There's a lot of information packed into it, so let's get an overview of what you can find there.
Views
There are three calendar views: monthly, weekly, and daily. You may find that you prefer one over another, but each can serve a different purpose. You can switch between them by selecting them from the drop-down in the upper right-hand corner.
Monthly
Weekly
The trend charts show the number of posts scheduled each day for the previous, current, and next weeks. They can help you make sure you are posting consistently over time.
Daily
More options
The three dots near the calendar views give you more options for things you can do with your calendar.
Holidays
You can choose to add suggested social media holidays to your calendar. It's up to you whether you want to post these to your social profiles; if you ignore them, they will not be sent. Turn them on, then click the hashtag to schedule one to your calendar. They include a related image, and you can add your own message. If you'd like, you can hide them again when you finish scheduling the ones you want.
Density
In the monthly and weekly views, you can choose between the Comfortable density (the default) and the Compact view to see your calendar from different perspectives.
Export
You can export your calendar content as a PDF, HTML, or CSV file.
Cards
The monthly and weekly calendars are filled with 'cards' that contain several pieces of information regarding your post.
You can see the status or source of your post, the scheduled/sent time, a truncated preview of your message and any attached media (displays the first attached image or GIF file or a thumbnail of a video post), the user who created the post, and its associated social profiles.
Status
The top left-hand corner of a card has an icon that displays the status or source of a post, including:
Sidebar
The sidebar is dynamic and displays different information depending on where you are on the calendar, which filters are active, and whether you clicked an individual post or a '+ more' link to view additional posts. See the following examples.
A day's posts
Information about a scheduled post
Information about a sent post, including failed messages
Filters
Calendars can be overwhelming, and sometimes you want to focus on what's important to you. Using the filter options will help you do that.
You can choose filters in any combination of:
- Status: Posts with the status of Draft, For approval, Queued, Scheduled, Sent, and Failed
- Network: Posts associated with a social network
- User: Posts scheduled by a particular user
- Profile: Posts scheduled to a particular social profile
- Profile Lists: Posts scheduled to a particular Profile List
- Queue: Posts scheduled from a particular Queue
- Campaigns: Posts scheduled as part of a Campaign
You can also search for items in any filter using the search field at the top of the drop-down list.
The calendar will then show only those posts that meet all of the filters you specified.
Tip: Rather go back to the old calendar? For a limited time, you can do that in your settings.
