Add an RSS feed
Adding an RSS feed to your Sendible account gives you access to your blogs directly from within the platform. You can then pull the blog content into posts or set up an autoposter using one of your connected RSS feeds.
How to add an RSS feed
- Select the Content tab and then RSS feeds in the drop-down menu.
- Then click on the New Feed button on the right-hand side.
You can choose between Publications & Blogs to add a single feed or Import Feeds to upload an OPML file with multiple feeds. We'll cover each in turn.
Add an RSS feed by URL
This example uses the Moz.com RSS feed (https://moz.com/posts/rss/blog).
- Often, but not always, the RSS feed can be found by simply adding
/feed
or/rss
after the site's URL. You can add this feed by entering the URL for its RSS feed. - Once you put the RSS feed URL into the search bar, click the Check button.
- When the check is completed, you will see the option to add the feed.
- Click the Add Feed button to add the Moz Blog feed to your Sendible account.
- You can then Close this window.
Add a curated feed
Sendible also offers curated feeds that you can add to your account. These consist of some popular feeds across various topics that you can use without needing to locate their RSS feed URL.
- Select the Publications & Blogs option.
- Underneath the field for an RSS feed URL, you will see a selection of topics.
- Once you have chosen a topic, click on it, and a new window will open, revealing a selection of RSS feeds related to that topic.
- Finally, choose Add Feed to bring the RSS feed into your account.
You'll now see the feed and its items in your dashboard. You can now review and manually post updates or set up an RSS autoposter.
Import multiple feeds
Using the 'Import Feeds' option, you can bulk connect multiple RSS feeds into your account using an OPML file.
- Click on the New Feed button on the right-hand side.
- On the next screen, you can either drag and drop your OPML file or choose a file from your PC.
- Once you have completed the upload, you will be taken back to the RSS feeds area, where the valid feeds will be displayed in your list.
Important: If desired, feeds must be added to each user's dashboard. They cannot be shared between users.
