Facebook Pages are important parts of many social media marketing efforts. Add a Facebook social profile

1. Go to Profiles > Add Profiles.
2. Click on the Add button where Facebook is displayed.

Add the first Facebook Page

1. You will be directed to Facebook and prompted to log in if you’re not already logged into Facebook.
2. Once you’ve logged into the account with access to the relevant Facebook Page, you’ll see the following screen. Select the blue Continue as button.
3. The next screen confirms the connection between Sendible and Facebook. Choose the Continue option to confirm the connection.

   

4. If you made edits in the 'Choose what you allow' area on Facebook and skipped or removed any permissions, you will see the following message displayed:
   "... click on the 'Reauthorise' button below and then, when you're directed to Facebook, select 'Continue as' and then 'Choose what you allow' and make sure to enable all permissions."

   Once that is complete, the Facebook Page should be available within the Compose Box for creating your posts. It will also appear in the 'Social feeds' and 'Priority Inbox' views.

Add additional Facebook Pages

1. If you’ve previously connected a Facebook Page to Sendible, the next time you add a Facebook profile, you should be taken to the profile settings, where you can choose your Page from the drop-down list.

   

2. If you’re having difficulties adding the Page and it is not appearing within the drop-down, please click the Reconnect button at the bottom of the screen.

   

3. On the next Facebook screen, select the Edit Settings option.
4. Please make sure all Facebook Pages as well as all permissions are accepted. Otherwise, the Facebook Page may not be available in the drop-down menu once you’re directed back to Sendible.

   

   Important: It is critical that you choose Select All so that Sendible can establish a robust connection to your Facebook account to prevent future problems. At this step, you are not actually connecting these Pages to Sendible; you are just providing us with the ability to list all of your Pages in a later screen.

Facebook Page profile settings

The system will automatically populate a name based on the Facebook account you’re logged into; however, this will be automatically updated to the name of the Page you're looking to add once you've selected the appropriate Facebook Page.

1. 'Description': This is a name for your reference. In certain areas of the dashboard, the space to display this name is limited and may get cut off, so you may want to consider that, especially if you have profiles with similar names.
2. 'Facebook Page': Select which Page you want to add as a profile. If it is not there, please see Steps to take when your Facebook Page is not listed.
3. 'Automatically generate link previews': Choose whether you want link previews to be automatically generated when you include a link in your post. 
4. 'Geotargeting': Use geotargeting to limit content to specific location-based audiences. To target different audiences, you can add the same Facebook Page as many times as you like and change the geotargeting settings. Please view our support guide on how to set up geotargeting for Facebook for more information on this option.
   
   Caution: Your posts will not be visible to people outside that location and sometimes even within that location, as Facebook often estimates locations.
5. 'Post as a full-sized image': You can also select whether you want images included in posts displayed as full-size images on Facebook. Please note that this means that if you include a URL in your Facebook post, the image from the link preview will be displayed as a full-size image instead of a link preview and cannot be clicked on to go to the web page.
6. 'Receive alerts for new activity': Select whether you want to receive alerts for new activity on that account—such as mentions or messages—and where you want to receive these alerts in the Priority Inbox and/or via email.
7. Once you’re happy with the settings you’ve applied, click Save Settings.

The newly added profile will be available in the Compose Box and can be added to Profile Lists. You will also be able to view reports for the Page 24-48 hours after connecting.
