How to schedule repeat posts
- In the Compose Box, once you choose to schedule your post—rather than send it immediately—the repeat option will appear. Check the box to see the options.
- Selecting the repeat option will open the following dialogue box. Once you’ve added your settings, select 'OK'.
- When you’ve added all your scheduling settings, click the Schedule button in the bottom-right corner to schedule your message. It will publish at the scheduled time and then repeat after that.
Important: When you schedule a repeat post, only the next scheduled post will appear in the Scheduled view, but all repeats should appear on the calendar.Note: If you wish to stop a post from repeating, click the Repeat option again, and it will stop the post from repeating any longer.
Repeat settings
There are several settings to choose for your repeat post.
- 'Repeats': Select from hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, or annually. Be careful not to repeat the same post too frequently, as this can cause your posts to be flagged as spam and potentially restrict access to your social accounts.
- 'Repeat every': Choose a number to set the cadence of your posts.
- 'Starts': Choose the date you want the repeat posts to begin. The default start is the current date and time, plus a few minutes.
- 'Ends': Be sure to adjust the end date to when you want the repeat to stop. The default is set to tomorrow.
- 'Only on': If you choose 'Daily' for your repeat interval, you can choose the days of the week on which to publish the repeated post. For instance, you can choose not to post on weekends or only post early in the week.
Caution: If you schedule a repeat and limit it to certain days of the week, it will only be scheduled for repeats that land on those days. For instance, if a post is published on Friday, 15 April 2024 and set to repeat every 10 days but only on Tuesdays, the next scheduled time will be Tuesday, 14 June 2024, which is 60 days out.
- The 'Summary' shows the schedule based on the settings you have selected.
