Offer free trials on your white-label account
Free trials are a great way to showcase your white-label service and attract new clients. If you want to allow people to set up trials on your white label, you will need to enable it on your account first. You control how long the trials will run and who is notified of new trials, so you can connect with your trialists if desired.
Enable trial sign-ups
To turn on the form that allows people to create a free trial on your white-label account, go to Settings > White Label settings > Trial settings and click the Enable button. Trials will not be enabled until you click the 'Save' button.
Take note of the URL shown below the 'Enable' button. This is the link you should share so people can fill out the form to create their own trial account.
The 'Sign up for an account' option will also appear on your white-label login page.
Trial settings
The settings let you control how your trials run. You can set the 'Trials Expire In' field to offer 7-, 14-, or 30-day trials.
If you would like to be notified when new users set up a trial, set the 'Send new trial notifications' to 'Yes' and enter the email address where you want those notifications sent. The email does not need to be linked to your account.
Click on the Save button after you have made your selections.
Manage trials
Once set up, when someone signs up for a trial, you can extend their trial (if possible) or convert them to a full user. To perform these steps, you need to have administrator access.
Go to Settings > Manage Users. Users who are still on trial will display the number of remaining trial days in the profiles field.
If you want to extend the trial for a trial user, click the Edit button for that user.
On the Workflow tab, select the number of additional trial days to add in the 'Extend trial by' field and click the Update User button. The additional trial time will then be applied to that user.
If a trial has expired or someone wants to move from a trial to a full account during their trial, you can make them a standard user on your white label by clicking the Upgrade button next to their account in the Users view.
You will be prompted to confirm this change, as it cannot be reversed. If you would like to upgrade them, click the Confirm button. Otherwise, you can click the Cancel option to close the pop-up, and the user will remain a trial user.
Once you confirm the upgrade, that user will appear in the Users view as a standard user.
