Overview of user types
Users have separate dashboards within an account where they can access the calendar, schedule posts, view reports, and do everything else they can with Sendible. Some Sendible users create one for each person on their team, while others create one for each client they work with.
Things to know
- Each subscription plan includes a base number of users, but you can always add more users to your account via the Subscription view.
- Each user must have a unique email address.
- Adding users will also add additional social profile slots that you can use.
What is a user?
Users are the accounts you log into and are defined by a unique email address. You can find them in your account settings under 'Manage users'. Set one up for each team member or use them to keep client accounts separate.
You can choose from three (3) different user types:
- Admin
- Team member
- Client
Each type gives different access to the options within the dashboard, including access—or not—to other users' dashboards within your account.
- 'Team Member': By default, team members in the same user hierarchy can access each other's accounts to collaborate on tasks. They do not have access to admin features, such as setting permissions, billing, changing company information, etc.
- 'Client': Client-type accounts are designed for your client. By default, they have access only to their own account unless specifically given access to other accounts using the 'Also has access to' option or by selecting the client under the 'Managed by' field of the user account you want to give them access to.
- 'Admin': Admins have access to all user accounts, meaning they can switch to any other account at any time, change settings, set permissions, billing, etc.
To set up an account, you need only an email address, username, and password, and then you can select an account type from the options mentioned above.
