Profile Sunsetting - Tumblr, Blogger & Blogspot, Medium, Flickr and Slack
On the 8th of September, 2021, we will be sunsetting the following integrations:
- Blogger & Blogspot
With the goal of simplifying your workflows in mind, we have made the decision to remove these integrations. The vast majority of our customers have not found these platforms to be helpful when building engagement or streamlining their social media. And their presence adds complexity that limits our ability to innovate and add new, highly desired features (like Selectable Video Thumbnails).
Our vision is to help agencies and marketers tell their stories on social media. Continuing to support these integrations means dividing our attention away from prioritising improved functionality and innovation that better aligns with your needs and goals.
What will happen to the impacted profiles that I’ve already set up?
Any connected Tumblr, Blogger & Blogspot, Medium, Flickr, or Slack profiles will be automatically removed on the 8th of September, 2021 so you do not need to remove them beforehand.
What if I already have posts scheduled?
Any posts that are scheduled to be sent out after the 8th of September, 2021 will not be sent out to any of the removed profiles.
After this date, if the post was due to only be sent out to one of the related platforms (eg. only scheduled to be sent to Tumblr) to locate it, go to the Sent view and then under the channel filter, select the ‘No Profiles Selected’ option.
If the post was due to be sent to multiple channels at the same time (eg. the exact same post was being sent to Facebook and Tumblr), you’ll be able to locate the post by following the same actions as above but instead selecting the relevant Facebook Page from the channel filter.
What if I have found these profiles useful in order to build engagement with my own or my clients’ audiences?
We’re looking at ways that we can more easily integrate with other apps in the future. While we can’t guarantee anything at this stage, we do appreciate that there are customers who would benefit from Sendible expanding the number of platforms that we integrate with or bringing back integrations that we’ve sunset.
Our goal is to find a long-term solution that increases the customisability of Sendible while ensuring we can support the integrations that are core to your social media workflows.
With that in mind, we want to hear from you so we can better understand the platforms and integrations you need. Please let us know what you are looking to accomplish and how Sendible can support you by reaching out here.
