Update profiles after converting to a white-label account
If you started with Sendible and later decided to go with a white-label account, there are a few steps that are needed to make sure your posts publish as smoothly as possible after the switch.
You do not need to do anything for other types of profiles— such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, or Twitter. These will continue to work normally following the conversion to a white-label account.
If there are NO scheduled messages on the calendar for LinkedIn or Google My Business
If you have added LinkedIn or Google My Business profiles but haven't yet scheduled any posts for them, you should delete those profiles following the instructions in the Edit or delete a social profile article and re-add them to your now white-labelled dashboard.
While this may result in reporting data for these profiles being deleted, it is necessary to ensure that they function correctly in your white-label account.
You may also want to consider using Client Connect to help re-add these profiles if you don't have direct login access to the social account.
If there ARE scheduled messages on the calendar for LinkedIn or Google My Business
There are two options; in both cases, you will need to add a second version of the related profiles first.
When adding those profiles a second time, add 'WL' to the description to denote this is the white-label version (this will only be relevant when viewing the profiles within your dashboard).
This will help you differentiate between the profile you previously added via the Sendible dashboard and the new one you're now adding via your white label.
Once you've done that, you can choose between:
- Option 1: where you export posts scheduled to your old profile and then import them to your newly-added profile. If you have a large number of posts, this might be the best option. However, it is possible that some features of your posts may be lost in this process.
- Option 2: where you edit each post to remove the old profile and add the new one. If you have only a few scheduled posts or want to retain your multi-platform Smart Posts, this might be the best option. This option retains all the features of the posts as originally scheduled.
Option 1: Export/import posts
You can export any posts currently scheduled to the old profiles and re-import them to be scheduled to the new profiles.
Export the posts
- Go to Publish > Scheduled, Publish > Queues, or Publish > Drafts.
- In the profile filter, select the older version of one social profile that you have re-added.
- Click the checkbox in the upper-left corner to select all the posts scheduled for that profile.
Caution: You may need to scroll to reach the end of your scheduled posts to load them all for selecting. Alternatively, if you have a large number of scheduled posts, you can filter by dates (months?) and export the posts in chunks.
- Select the option to Export to CSV.
- Repeat this for each LinkedIn or Google My Business social profile.
Import the posts
Once you have exported the posts for the old profile, you need to import them to the newly-added profile.
- Use the Bulk Importer to import the messages using the CSV file you exported.
- Select the 'WL' version of the profile you wish the posts to publish to, and choose 'Scheduled' or 'Draft' or select the queue they were originally in.
- Repeat this for all your exported files.
Cleanup
When you have finished this for all relevant profiles that had messages are scheduled, you will need to delete the old profiles that don't have 'WL' in the description to avoid duplicated posts or undelivered messages. In an abundance of caution, it's best to wait until all the posts have been imported to the new profile so as to not lose any work.
Option 2: Edit posts
This method requires individually updating messages, but it will ensure that all content and settings will be retained as originally scheduled.
- Go to Publish > Scheduled, Publish > Queues, or Publish > Drafts.
- Click the edit icon beside each post.
- In the Compose Box, add the newly-added profile with 'WL' in its description.
- Delete the older version of the profile from the post.
- Schedule the post with your changes.
Once this is done for all relevant profiles where messages are scheduled, delete the old profiles that don't have 'WL' in the description.
We understand that if you have a lot of messages already scheduled, you may need a hand. Feel free to reach out to your Customer Success Manager, who will be happy to show you how to update messages once the profiles have been re-added. However, we won't be able to do that on your behalf.
