Compose a YouTube post
Schedule and post videos to YouTube alongside your other social media posts. Upload a video, choose a thumbnail, add a title and details, and publish it to your YouTube channel.
How to compose a YouTube post
Note: YouTube will automatically publish any video that is 60 seconds or less in length and has a vertical or square aspect ratio as a Short.
- Click on the Compose button.
- Select your YouTube profile.
- Attach your video and a description. You must upload a video file to YouTube to publish it. You cannot use a link to a video, but you are not required to provide a description.
Caution: YouTube does not allow Angled brackets ">" in the video description. If you do use angled brackets, your post will not be sent.
- Click on the edit icon to add a title, tags, or a category for your video, but they are optional. You can also control the visibility of your video.
Note: If you want a caption on a YouTube Short, add a title rather than text in the Compose Box. To do that, click the edit icon on the video attachment.
- Lastly, schedule your post as desired.
Caution: If a video includes more than 15 hashtags, YouTube will ignore all of them.
