[Monitoring] Errors related to LinkedIn servers - 27 July 2023

We have isolated the issue to Linkedin taking a long time to acknowledge the status of a post after it is sent to them, including the status of the image(s). If only one image is attached, the post may timeout and be shown as undelivered in Sendible yet be published on LinkedIn. If multiple images are attached, the post may publish, but without the image that caused the timeout, or it could be completely undelivered.
The best thing to do if you receive undelivered errors for your LinkedIn posts in your Sendible dashboard is to check the LinkedIn feeds to verify whether the post did or did not publish, and if it did not, to repost the message.

What is the issue?
LinkedIn made some changes to its API at the end of June. Whether that initiated the increase in undelivered errors we have seen for LinkedIn posts or not, we have since seen an increase in errors related to the LinkedIn servers, such as:
- LinkedIn servers are unavailable at the moment. Please wait a few minutes before posting again. (Server)
- LinkedIn is experiencing a connection issue. Please see the following page for information & instructions: [your link] Please reconnect your account from +Profiles or by visiting [your link]
- LinkedIn took too long to process the image(s). Try again.
- Error while copying content to a stream.
- LinkedIn is experiencing a connection issue. Please reconnect your LinkedIn profile or contact your Admin for assistance. Please reconnect your account from +Profiles or by visiting [your link]
- There was an unknown error on LinkedIn's end which prevent your post from being sent successfully. Please try again.
- The operation has timed out.
- An error occurred while sending the request.
- LinkedIn servers are unavailable at the moment. Please wait a few minutes before posting again.
- Request timed out
- LinkedIn is experiencing a connection issue. Please reconnect your LinkedIn profile or contact your Admin for assistance. Please reconnect your account from +Profiles or by visiting [your link]
- Response status code does not indicate success: 503 (Service Unavailable).
Workaround
Since these errors occur due to LinkedIn issues, please repost your message. There is nothing that needs to be done differently within Sendible.

We will keep an eye on this situation and provide additional updates here. However, this issue has been present for several weeks, so it may take some time to resolve fully.
