This used to be possible but Facebook no longer supports this as an option.

Should they allow us to do this in future, we will look to ensure this is available on Sendible.

I've tried all of the suggestions listed and none are working.  Has this been resolved?  I also tried the Facebook tagging tool (http://fbtagging.thunderpenny.com/) but think perhaps it is not working b/c we also have white label SMM and therefore do not have the toggle editor button.  We would like to request this feature be added if it hasn't already!  As you know, it is important to be able to tag within Facebook!

Tim - can you confirm that this method works with Sendible?

1. Go to your Facebook Page find your Facebook Page’s ID. The last set of digits you see in the URL is the page or profile ID number.

2. @[(Insert FB Page ID):0]

This appears to be broken again. I've tried the @[PAGE_ID:274:PAGE_NAME] convention and the @@[0:[theid:0:LinkName]] convention and they are both not working. I think this is an important feature that is missing. Please address.

Jacob - this is still not possible via Facebook's API and the workaround above is no longer available. We are hoping that Facebook will make this available to us via their API soon.

Is there an update on this matter? Part of our strategy is to tag complementing pages that tag back.

This is no longer possible, but we are looking into a workaround. We'll update this post once we have a solution.

Is this still possible? And if so, does the above method work?

Regarding tagging people through the API, has this been updated or addressed?

I tried the following dierctly in Facebook, without the editor, to make sure it works before trying through Sendible.  This is to D. L. Moody's page at https://www.facebook.com/pages/D-L-Moody/131978286838383?sk=wall

I tried this .... @[131978286838383:274:D. L. Moody]

and this ... @@[0:[131978286838383:0:D. L. Moody]] ... based on this http://fbtagging.thunderpenny.com/ that came from the update by Support Team on 12/7/2011.  When I click on submit, it doesn't submit.  It doesn't error.  It doesn't do anything but return me to the field for edit.

Can you help?  I really need this feature.

Christi - The Toggle Editor button is not currently available on the White Label version.

Has this been debugged? I don't see a toggle edit button next to schedule.

Facebook has recently removed the ability to tag people and pages through their API. We are monitoring this bug here: http://bugs.developers.facebook.net/show_bug.cgi?id=12074

Perfect. Exactly the answer I was looking for. A little more complicated than I'd like but still, it can be done!
